MAGIC CITY HIPPIES 1/25
— January 25, 2025 —
Magic City Hippies brought the house down at Boston’s House of Blues on January 25th, delivering a show that was pure energy from start to finish. The Miami-based band, known for blending funk, soul, and electronic elements into a sound that’s as catchy as it is smooth, had the crowd moving from the first note. Mustard Service kicked things off with a solid opening set, but it was MCH who truly turned up the heat. It’s a shame more people didn’t get tickets—this was a show that deserved a full house.
The band was all smiles throughout the night, clearly having as much fun as the audience. The energy between the bandmates was electric, each member feeding off the other as they played with enthusiasm and joy. At one point, they even took a moment to celebrate the bassist’s birthday on stage, showing off their tight-knit chemistry. The highlight of the set was hearing “Giving Up on Lovin’” from their latest album Enemies, a track that took on even more life in the live performance.

The encore was a perfect capper, with “Hush” absolutely stealing the show. The crowd was still buzzing as the band wrapped up, and it’s safe to say MCH’s future is looking bright. With their electrifying energy, an ever-growing catalog of hits, and a dedicated fan base, it won’t be long before they’re packing out bigger venues. Can’t wait to see where they go next!
